UC "Kremenchukvodokanal" was founded in 1910 when the first well was drilled, making it the first utility company in the city. The establishment of the water utility was driven by the electrification of Kremenchuk. Despite material difficulties in 1917, Vodokanal continuously increased its capacity and provided the city with clean artesian water. Before World War II, there were 13 wells, and the water supply network length was 45 km. During the post-war period, up to 1962, 20 artesian wells were constructed with a total capacity of 20,000 m³ per day. The length of water pipelines and networks was 60.3 km. With the intense housing construction and industrial development in the mid-1960s, the city`s water consumption significantly increased. Since Kremenchuk`s underground water sources had a low yield and were diminishing every year, a surface water intake from the Kremenchuk Reservoir was built in 1966, and in 1968, the first stage of the water treatment facilities was commissioned.
Today, the enterprise operates 2 first-lift pumping stations, a water treatment plant with a capacity of 150,000 m³, 14 booster pumping stations, 6 clean water reservoirs, 27 sewage pumping stations, and 2 sewage treatment facilities. The total length of the water supply network is 440.15 km, and the sewage network is 272.69 km.
